1A-POPE FRANCIS

Pope Francis’ message to Scotland

His Holiness Pope Francis was pleased to learn that The Scottish Catholic Observer is re-launching its weekly service to the country’s Catholics on September 6.

On this happy occasion, he sends his greetings to the editor and staff as they endeavour to play a greater part in the proclamation of the Good News in their beloved homeland. Joining all Scotland’s Catholics in their efforts to rekindle the Faith and hope at this time, the Holy Father commends the Scottish Catholic Observer and its staff to the powerful intercession of St Andrew and St Margaret, and upon all present at the occasion he willingly invokes God’s abundant blessings.

Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone
Vatican secretary of State
