Polish priest apologises after becoming bodybuilding sensation

Fr Artur Kaproń, (above) parish priest in Osiecznica, south west Poland, shot to fame after he appeared on TV at the weekend.

The 42-year-old priest has since apologised, saying he understands his appearance at the televised Polish Championships of Junior Bodybuilders may have ’caused scandal for the faithful’.

His appearance at the televised event, where he finished fourth, generated huge media attention in Poland.

In earlier interviews the priest said he had been bodybuilding since the age of 16.
