Doubts on broadcast of Papal visit

THE suggestion that strike action at the BBC could jeopardise coverage of the Papal visit will come as quite a blow to hundreds of thousands of people who were counting on watching the historic moments unfold on television.

It is a timely reminder to anyone who can make it along to the major Papal events—be it by lining the streets in Edinburgh for what promises to be a spectacular St Ninian’s Day parade or by attending what promises to be an historic outdoor Mass at Bellahouston Park—to make every effort to do so. For those who cannot be there in person, taking part by supporting parish representatives who can attend as pilgrims would show great solidarity.
