4-MOTHERS-MASS

One-week-old baby among children at Paisley Mothers’ Prayers Mass

The annual Mass was attended by mothers from across the diocese and beyond.

Mothers and children came together in Paisley Diocese recently for a Mothers Prayers Mass—with one member of the congregation wasting no time in getting to church, joining the congregation just one week after being born.

The one-week-old son of new mother Louisa is so young he doesn’t even have a name yet, but he joined some of the older children in the prayerful Mass for mothers.

Bishop John Keenan of Paisley Diocese celebrated Mass with Fr Stephen Baillie at St Cadoc’s in Newton Mearns on September 3.

And the women, young and old, joined the clergy outside after Mass in joyful celebration on the steps of the church.
