Cardinal O’Brien interview cancelled

In Conversation with Cardinal Keith O'Brien in Falkirk on Thursday will not take place as His Eminence is recuperating

Valerie Maclennan, producer and host of the In Conversation With live interview shows, has advised that her show on October 4 with Cardinal O’Brien at the Macdonald Inchyra Hotel and Spa in Falkirk has been cancelled.

Ms Maclennan, seen above with the cardinal, said that she wanted to let the public know that she had been contacted on Friday afternoon by the Catholic Media Office in Glasgow with the news that the cardinal is recuperating and under doctor’s orders to rest and avoid travel.

He has cancelled all public engagements for the coming weeks.

“I wanted to let people know in advance, to avoid travelling to the venue, and being disappointed on the evening,” Ms Maclennan said.
